IGWMF 2015

A number of applications of micro-scale flow and heat transfer are found in diverse areas such as in energy technology, chemical process industries, biology, micro-electro-mechanical devices, heat transfer devices etc. The intended scientific benefit of the Indo-German workshop is to provide an inter-country platform in order to exchange ideas and knowledge between researchers in this field. In this workshop, state-of-the-art modeling and measurement techniques used to understand the flow physics associated with micro-scale flows will be presented. The contents of this workshop would focus on the following topics:

• Micro/nano scale heat transfer

• Transport phenomena in mini/micro/nano channels

• Phase change phenomena (Evaporation and Condensation) at small scales

• Surface wettability and droplet/surface interactions

• Microfluidics
